Our Current Artist in Residence is Jo Jarvis

Creating has been part of Jo’s life since childhood.
Winning a prize at the local show when she was only in grade 2 gave her immense encouragement and made her believe and trust in the gifts she had been given.

Jo loves repurposing potential rubbish from yarn and tins to tiles, copper wire, pot, beads and glass. The creativity flows from considering how she can turn these into something people will enjoy and finding fun ways to use those small leftovers of interesting yarn for beanies and hats.

Art provides an outlet that brings calm and appreciation for the small things in life. Art marries with Jo’s philosophy of walking gently, with myself, the planet and her Creator. She loves creating things that friends and the wider community will enjoy... and allow them to give affordable unique gifts to the people they care about.

You can find Jo’s art on our walls but also for sale in our windows, shelves and even enjoy a cup of tea on one of the tables created in a mosaics workshop she ran with us on the balcony
